Faithful Tables began at a quiet kitchen table...
My name is Felecia McAbee, and like many women, my journey of faith didn’t begin in childhood. I became a Christian later in life, and when I first opened the Bible for myself, I honestly didn’t know where to begin.
A friend gave me a beautiful year-long devotional book as a guide, but the structure felt overwhelming. Life was busy, and I often felt like I was already behind.
So I started simply.
A Bible.
A notebook.
A few quiet minutes in the morning.
No pressure. No complicated study plan. Just reading a passage, writing a few thoughts, and letting God meet me right where I was.

Over time, those small moments became something sacred.
Faithful Tables grew from that experience. It is a gentle invitation for women who want to open their Bible but may not know where to begin—or who simply want a quiet place to reflect and write. Here you’ll find devotional journals, simple reflections, and encouragement meant to make time with Scripture feel approachable, peaceful, and personal.
Before this season, I spent many years running a small food business and working in hospitality and training. Kitchens, tables, and shared meals have always been places where life and conversation unfold naturally. Faithful Tables carries that same spirit—gathering, reflection, and quiet moments that matter.
Today I live in the mountains of Idaho with my husband, where life moves a little slower. You’ll often find me with coffee in hand, a journal open on the table, and my Bible nearby. As a Master Food Preserver, I also spend a good deal of time in the garden, with our dog Mac, or putting food up in the kitchen—simple rhythms that remind me daily of God’s provision and care.
Faithful Tables isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s simply about coming to the table and opening the Word.
And if you’re just beginning, you’re very welcome here.
A Few Things About Me
• I soloed as a glider pilot at 15 years old. The quiet of soaring without an engine is still one of the most peaceful experiences I’ve ever known.
• I became a certified scuba diver at 28, which gave me a whole new appreciation for the beauty and complexity of God’s creation beneath the surface.
• I’m a Master Food Preserver, so you’ll often find me in the garden, putting food up in the kitchen, or experimenting with ways to preserve the harvest.
• I love to travel and explore places that spark curiosity. My bucket list includes a visit to the Corn Palace in South Dakota someday. What that says about me… I’m still figuring that out.
• One of the most memorable places I’ve visited is the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I once spent an entire day there during a business trip, slowly admiring the incredible plant species. Walking through those gardens deepened my appreciation for the Creator in a way I’ll never forget.
• Instead of collecting tourist trinkets, I collect small vials of sand from beaches I visit. Over the years it’s been fascinating to compare them and see how the same beach can change over time.
If you’ve been meaning to open your Bible, slow down for a few minutes, and reflect on what you read…
pull up a chair.
There’s always room at the table!
Your friend,
Felecia
